Boo iTunes!

Last week Apple increased the price of songs on iTunes from 99 cents to $1.29.

Personally, I have never purchased a single song but I understand the outrage surrounding the prince increase. Nickel and Diming the music industry! Who do they think we are? We shall unite, against the system, against repression everywhere. We are all one. We can be whoever we want to be and no 30 cent increase will stand in our way!

Really? Who cares.

From a business standpoint, it makes sense.

Surely, the record companies pushed for the increase and I'm sure Apple hardly protested their petitions. It remains to be seen whether the higher price will drive people, away from legally purchased music, towards pirating software. In the long run, those who used the Apple Store before, will continue to do so.
